Download a free client to start playing! A game client is specialized software specifically made for text based multiplayer games. Many clients offer advanced features such as customizable interfaces and scripting.
There are a handful of free clients available, but we highly recommend using Mudlet. You can also play DartMUD straight from your browser here.
Creating a profile is easy. Simply type in a Profile name, Server address, and Port number:
- Profile: Pick a name for the profile
- Server: dartmud.com
- Port: 2525
Now just click the Connect button and get ready to create your character!
Some additional tips for new players:
- Pick an easy to spell name that's not too long.
- Start in the city of Soriktos.
- Set term to ansi256 if it's not already.
- Set magespam to off.
- Set misses to off.
- Install the DartMUDlet package.
- Stay inside the city for awhile.
